The KR conference series is a leading forum for timely in-depth presentation of progress in the theory and principles underlying the representation and computational management of knowledge. It is intended to foster communication and crossfertilization of ideas within the area, as well as collaboration across research boundaries. As a consequence, the topics addressed at KR 2016, like previous conferences, are diverse and cover a broad range of research areas.

This proceedings contains 49 regular papers and 25 short technical papers. They are broadly divided into the following areas: argumentation, automated reasoning and computation, belief revision and nonmonotonicity, decision theory and rationality, description logics, epistemic reasoning, knowledge representation and data management, planning and strategies and diagnosis, reasoning about actions and causality, temporal and spatial reasoning, and uncertainty.
